PETITION: Tesco, stop selling Israeli apartheid goods
To: Tesco Group CEO Ken Murphy, Executive team and Board,
By stocking products and goods manufactured in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land in your supermarkets, Tesco is complicit in Israel’s crimes of apartheid and ethnic cleansing committed against the Palestinian people.
Following a vote by members at its 2025 AGM, the Co-op supermarket made history by announcing it would stop sourcing products from Israel due to its human rights abuses.
Shareholders asked Tesco to do the same at its 2025 AGM, but one year on, the chain has failed to take action. This follows ignoring decades-long calls to stop selling Israeli products in your supermarkets.
In the 1980s, thousands of ordinary people picketed and boycotted Tesco shops across the country over its insistence on stocking goods from apartheid South Africa - and now Tesco is on the wrong side of history once again.
As Tesco customers we, the undersigned, demand that Tesco follows the Co-op supermarket’s lead in ending sales of goods supporting Israel's apartheid and illegal settlements without further delay.
