Write to your MP: Defend our right to protest
As Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people continues under the shadow of the illegal US-Israel strikes on Iran and Lebanon, the British government is escalating attempts to repress our rights. And we know why – in order to distract from its complicity in Israel’s atrocities, and to try to keep us from protesting.
Over the past months the government has been pushing forward plans, through a clause in the Crime and Policing Bill, to give police new powers to effectively ban repeat protests. The bill is scheduled to be debated in Parliament this coming Tuesday, 14 April.
Andy McDonald MP has tabled a motion to oppose it, but we need as many MPs as possible to support his motion to push the clause to a vote. Will you take 2 mins to write to your MP today?
