Write to your MP: 78 years of the ongoing Nakba

We need your support for a new Early Day Motion (EDM) marking 78 years since the start of the Nakba, which has been tabled by Iqbal Mohamed MP with cross-party sponsorship. 

 

The EDM acknowledges the more than 750,000 Palestinians who were ethnically cleansed from their homes in 1948 by Israeli forces, but also that the Nakba - meaning catastrophe in Arabic - is an ongoing process of dispossession, displacement, and oppression affecting Palestinians across all of historic Palestine and the Palestinian diaspora to this day. Crucially, it calls on the government to end its complicity in these crimes by implementing sanctions against Israel.
