Tell Mark Rowley: Arrest the Israeli President!

It is utterly grotesque that Israeli President and war criminal Isaac Herzog - the head of a state currently on trial for genocide and which has already been found guilty of the crime of apartheid at the International Court of Justice - has been allowed into Britain and has not yet been arrested.

Herzog is a war criminal who has said that there ‘are no innocent civilians in Gaza’ and that it is the ‘entire [Palestinian] nation out there that is responsible’. He has promised to ‘fight until we break their backbone’ and has disgustingly written messages on missiles set to be dropped on Gaza.

Write to Mark Rowley, the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, today to demand that he takes action to arrest Herzog immediately!

Faced with overwhelming evidence and international legal, human rights and academic consensus regarding Israel’s genocide in Gaza, no Israeli government official should be welcomed to Britain, which is a state party to the Genocide Convention.  </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW149456998 BCX0">I am aware that an <a class="Hyperlink SCXW149456998 BCX0" href="https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/arrest-warrant-sought-israeli-president-visit-uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">arrest warrant</a> for Herzog during his visit to Britain has already been sought on 'charges of aiding, abetting or procuring direct and indiscriminate attacks on civilians and civilian objects'. In January 2024, the ICJ cited statements made by Herzog personally – that sought to dehumanise Palestinians and called for their collective punishment – as plausible evidence of Israel’s genocidal intent towards the Palestinian people. Herzog’s statements include the claims that there ‘are no innocent civilians in Gaza’ and that it is the ‘entire [Palestinian] nation out there that is responsible’ combined with his promise to ‘fight until we break their backbone.’ Disgustingly, Herzog has himself been pictured writing messages on missiles in preparation to be dropped on Gaza. </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW149456998 BCX0">The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) has submitted <a class="Hyperlink SCXW149456998 BCX0" href="https://www.icjpalestine.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/06.09.25-ICJP-correspondence-to-SO15.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">evidence</a> to Scotland Yard of Herzog’s suspected criminal liability for alleged war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture, and actions that constitute plausible genocide contrary to s.134 of the Criminal Justice Act, the Geneva Conventions Act 1957, and s.50 & s.51 of the International Criminal Court Act.  </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW149456998 BCX0">Now that Herzog has been allowed to enter Britain, and with the evidence that has already been submitted, as the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police you must act immediately to arrest Herzog and ensure that Scotland Yard’s War Crimes Unit urgently investigates him in compliance with Britain’s international and domestic obligations, noting that diplomatic immunity would not preclude such an investigation. </div></div></div></div>
