No Public Money for Genocide Enablers

The Ministry of Defence is set to award a £2.5billion army training contract to a consortium led by either Elbit Systems UK or Raytheon UK. Both companies supply the Israeli military with weapons and military technology essential to carrying out its genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Take action by writing to the government to demand that the procurement process is immediately halted, and not a penny of public money is given to companies enabling Israel's genocide.

<div>I am writing to express my outrage at reports that the Ministry of Defence is set to award a £2.5billion army training contract to a consortium led by either Elbit Systems UK or Raytheon UK. Both companies supply the Israeli military with weapons and military technology essential to carrying out its genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. I am demanding that this procurement process is immediately halted.Elbit Systems UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of one of Israel’s largest arms companies, Elbit Systems, which supplies the Israeli military with a range of weaponry used to carry out its genocide in Gaza. This includes armoured drones, bombs and artillery shells. It provides 80% of the weapons and equipment for Israel’s land forces and 85% of the armoured drones used by the Israeli air force.Elbit Systems’ central involvement in Israel’s genocide has led to it losing contracts across the world, including 35% of contracts in the Global South in 2024. Handing the company a multi-billion pound contract would provide it a lifeline to support its continued operations, and entrench its status as a partner of the British government.Raytheon UK is part of the RTX Corporation, which supplies the Israeli military with weapons used in its assaults on Palestinians. This includes missiles and engines for Israel’s fighter jets used to bomb Gaza.Many tens, if not hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been murdered by Israel’s genocide, using the weapons supplied by Elbit Systems and RTX Corporation. The UK government has a legal obligation to take all available measures to stop Israel’s genocide. This includes ending all financial ties to companies that are enabling Israel’s assault. It is reprehensible that UK government is planning, once again, to violate its legal obligations by handing billions of pounds of public money to companies profiting from Israel’s crimes.Not a penny should be sent to arms companies enabling Israel’s atrocities. I demand that the UK government halts the procurement process immediately.</div>
